The Department of Geosciences at Mansfield University is a dynamic and growing program, hosting around 175 undergraduate student majors in eight different academic concentrations. The department also hosts the Institute of Science and the Environment at Mansfield University, an independent research and outreach organization focused on environmental issues.

In our award-winning undergraduate research program, MU Geosciences students often collaborate with
faculty in hands-on research; a number of our students have presented their
work at regional and national conferences, and many continue their studies at
